Eenzaamheidsdeskundige Jeannette Rijks ontwikkelde de cursus Creatief Leven, waarmee eenzaamheid wordt aangepakt. Ze hielp mensen en leidde professionals op. Met subsidie van ZonMw lukte het haar een traject te doorlopen waardoor de cursus nu een erkende interventie is.
Grant Awarded by ZonMW & Heart Foundation: HEART4DATA Can Start Preparations for SELEQT-HF
ZonMW & Heart Foundation have awarded a grant to the DVCA consortium HEART4DATA for SELEQT-HF. SELEQT-HF will be the first registry-based randomized clinical trial (RCT) in heart failure (HF) patients using the HEART4DATA infrastructure. The preparations for SELEQT-HF will start immediately under the leadership of researchers Peter van der Meer and Jeroen Schaap. They hope to show the first results within one and a half year.
Nieuw Centrum voor Kinderen van Ouders met Psychiatrische Problemen
Een nieuw centrum, KOPP, is opgericht bij het Erasmus MC Sophia voor kinderen waarvan hun ouders psychische problemen hebben. Hier worden problemen op tijd herkend door de samenwerking van de afdelingen kinder- en jeugdpsychiatrie, psychiatrie en verloskundige. Zo kan er op tijd de nodige zorg en, indien nodig, preventie aangeboden worden.

De Kamercommissie voor VWS nam dinsdagmiddag 4 oktober een petitie in ontvangst van diverse (patiënten)organisaties die oproepen om definitief te stoppen met de geplande bezuiniging op het Geneesmiddelenvergoedingssysteem (GVS).
Toename Kankerdiagnoses Vraagt Om Meer Preventie
Het aantal nieuwe kankerdiagnoses neemt de komende tien jaar flink toe, naar 156.000 diagnoses per jaar in 2032. Dat komt vooral door de vergrijzing en een ongezonde leefstijl.
