MIT arrangement

- Innovative small- and medium-sized enterprises can once again apply for grants this spring through the SME Innovation Incentive Scheme for Top Sectors (MIT scheme). Grants provided through the scheme may be used for the following: knowledge vouchers, innovation consultancy projects, feasibility studies and R&D joint ventures (small and large).

Dutch-American healthcare collaboration to link two top innovation regions

- CITRIS and the Banatao Institute at the University of California, Medical Delta and InnovationQuarter have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). It underlines their intentions to extend and intensify their collaboration in the forthcoming years to advance joint research, education, and business development in digital health.

European fund for Brainport

- De Coöperatie Slimmer Leven 2020 en Brainport Development krijgen 3,5 miljoen euro Europese subsidie voor de verdere ontwikkeling van Living Labs voor Health toepassingen.

The FAIR Principles herald more open, transparent, and reusable scientific data

- Today the FAIR Guiding Principles for scientific data management and stewardship were formally published in the Nature Publishing Group journal Scientific Data.

Nominees Health Innovation Award

- Op het Health Valley Event 2016 wordt voor het eerst de Nationale Zorginnovatieprijs uitgereikt. Uit de ruim 100 aanmeldingen via zorginnovatie.nl zijn drie genomineerden geselecteerd die meedingen naar de prijs van 15.000 euro. De 1000 aanwezigen op het Health Valley Event op donderdag 17 maart aanstaande, kiezen de uiteindelijke winnaar.

Growth capital for biotech company Toxys to develop toxicological tests

- Zeeuws Investment Fund and InnovationQuarter have invested in the biotech company Toxys, located in Leiden, the Netherlands. Toxys is a spin-off from the Leiden University Medical Centre (LUMC) and specialized in a new generation of innovative testing which quickly and reliably can identify the main carcinogenic properties of new substances.

Medtech Mission Germany

- Van 12 t/m 14 april 2016 organiseert de Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland, het ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken en het postennetwerk in Duitsland i.s.m. de Task Force Health Care en FME een Medische Technologie missie naar Zuid-Duitsland voor de Nederlandse starters, kennisinstellingen en ondernemers.

ERA HDHL Cofunded Call Biomarkers in Nutrition and Health

- The JPI HDHL -together with the European Commission - is going to launch a new joint transnational call for research proposals: "Biomarkers for Nutrition and Health (BioNH)“ using the ERA-NET Cofund instrument.
