Health~Holland Calls

Health~Holland stimulates innovative research by financing public-private collaboration in the Life Sciences & Health sector. From 2024 onwards, this will be executed through the PPP Innovation Subsidy*. PPP stands for Public-Private Partnership and involves collaborations between a for-profit companies and a research organizations. The PPP Innovation Subsidy aims to stimulate public private cooperation for research that creates economic and societal impact. This financial instrument is an essential component of the Mission-Driven Top Sectors and Innovation Policy of the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

Health~Holland uses the PPP Innovation Subsidy to encourage companies and research organizations to jointly invest in research and development (R&D) with the aim of developing sustainable innovative products and services within the Life Sciences & Health (LSH) sector. This contributes to strengthening the Dutch economy and achieving the missions within the Societal Theme Health & Care.

The missions of the Societal Theme Health & Care are defined by the Ministry of Health, Welfare & Sport and the central mission is as follows: By 2040, people in the Netherlands will live at least five years longer in good health, while the health inequalities between the lowest and highest socioeconomic groups will have decreased by 30%.

To apply for the PPP Subsidy, general conditions apply. These are explained in more detail in the video below.
NOTE: this video is in Dutch. English subtitles will be added to the video soon. Please keep an eye on this page.

*In 2024, the PPP Innovation Subsidy has been updated. From 2024 onwards, we use the term 'PPP Subsidy', whereas under the old version, we used the PPP Allowance. It is still possible that there are open calls or projects under the old term, PPP Allowance. The conditions of the PPP Allowance are different than the conditions under the PPP Innovation Subsidy. If you are unsure how these to differ, please contact tki@health-holland.com
