Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role within Health Holland. Health Holland connects innovative SMEs with the right partners to accelerate product development and strengthen their networks. To facilitate this, Health Holland provides financial support for network activities such as masterclasses, workshops and conferences.
On an annual basis, Health Holland supports an average of 60 network activities, reaching approximately 4,000 SMEsin total. In this way, Health Holland contributes to strengthening the Netherlands’ leading position in innovative solutions and collaboration within the Life Sciences & Health (LSH) sector.
All events displayed on the events page with the Health Holland logo are financially supported by Health Holland.
Applying for financial support
Organisations can apply for financial support through the Network Activities Committee of Health Holland. An application must be submitted by fully completing the application forms and sending them by email to Jochem Christiaansen.
The application forms can be found at the bottom of this page under Downloads. The Network Activities Committee meets once every two weeks to assess submitted applications.
Application guidelines
When completing the application forms, the following guidelines must be taken into account:
- The application clearly demonstrates the added value for SME participants and indicates the expected number of SME participants.
- The application shows how the network activity aligns with the Health & Care missions.
- The application is submitted approximately four months prior to the event to Jochem Christiaansen.
- Health Holland primarily supports third-party costs, such as venue rental and catering.
- Costs for overnight stays and/or flights of participants are not eligible for support.
- Health Holland is not the sole funding party; other involved parties also contribute to the costs of the network activity.

Additional Requirements from 1 January 2026
All parties that are granted financial support from 1 January 2026 onwards must submit the following documents prior to the disbursement of the subsidy:
- A PDF copy of the fully completed decision-making flowchart
- A signed ‘no OIM’ declaration
