Organ-on-Chip Call

The Top Sector Life Sciences & Health (LSH) invites companies and research organisations to participate in the Organ-on-Chip Call 2025. Through this call, Top Sector LSH aims to further strengthen the Dutch innovation ecosystem in the field of Organ-on-Chip (OoC) technology and promote its future implementation, all with a view to enhancing the Netherlands’ economic earning capacity and generating societal impact. In 2025, Top Sector LSH will make €4.000.000 in public-private partnership (PPP) funding available for this call.

Why participate in this Organ-on-Chip Call?

This call offers consortia the opportunity to take the next step in the development of OoC-technology, where scientific innovation and societal impact meet. It challenges interdisciplinary public-private partnerships to develop models that are not only technologically innovative, but also demonstrably relevant to both female and male physiology. With a focus on international standards and active engagement of end users, this call provides the ideal springboard for implementation and upscaling toward clinical and industrial adoption.

The call targets interdisciplinary public-private consortia that build upon previously developed OoC models, with a strong focus on further development, validation, and future application. Each project may request between €500.000 and €1.000.000 in PPP-Subsidy. Dutch research organisations and Dutch SMEs are eligible for funding under the applicable financial conditions. Cofunding from all consortium partners is required.
