Bruno Bruins: 'Fund of more than 100 million for promising care'
Veelbelovende behandelingen, medische technologie en geneesmiddelen sneller beschikbaar voor de patiënt. Dat is het doel van een fonds dat minister Bruno Bruins (Medische Zorg) vandaag presenteert. De minister stelt voor het fonds 105 miljoen euro beschikbaar. Met dit geld worden ontwikkelaars van nieuwe zorgideeën geholpen bij het opzetten en uitvoeren van wetenschappelijk onderzoek.

Minister Bruno Bruins (Medische Zorg) heeft met succes onderhandeld over de prijs van het middel atezolizumab voor de vervolgbehandeling van longkanker. Hierdoor wordt het middel vanaf 1 juni 2018 vergoed uit het basispakket. De afspraak met de leverancier bestaat uit een vertrouwelijke korting die oploopt naarmate de uitgaven toenemen. This radically new method opens the door to understanding the first and hidden processes of life, problems of infertility, or the embryonic origin of diseases. This scientific breakthrough has been published in Nature.
