Three medical innovations nominated as finalists new National Icons
Tien innovatieve technologieën zijn genomineerd als finalisten voor de verkiezing van de nieuwe Nationale Iconen. Het gaat om Nederlandse oplossingen voor wereldwijde vraagstukken op het gebied van gezondheid, energie, digitalisering, circulaire materialen en mobiliteit. Het kabinet maakt in september bekend wie de uiteindelijke winnaars zijn.
Full house at strategic conference Health & Care
With the recent announcement of the mission-driven innovation policy, the Top Sector Life Sciences & Health (LSH) has been appointed to coordinate the realisation of the new Knowledge & Innovation Agenda (KIA) and Contract (KIC) 2020-2023 concerning the global challenges of Health & Care. The Top Sector therefore organised a strategic conference on 16 May to start the dialogue with all stakeholders in the sector and collect input.
Sustainable Healthcare Challenge 2019: The winners!
Op 23 mei vond de Challenge & Congress van de Sustainable Healthcare Challenge 2019 plaats. De dag stond in het teken van zorginnovatie en jong ondernemerschap. Het KPN-gebouw in Rotterdam gaf de keynote sprekers een mooi podium! In totaal kregen 15 startups de kans om te pitchen voor jury en publiek.
Erasmus MC and LUMC to co-participate in GenomeScan
Erasmus MC (Rotterdam, The Netherlands) announced today the acquisition of shares of the fast-growing genomics service provider GenomeScan BV based in Leiden (The Netherlands). Together with the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), another shareholder in GenomeScan, they are joining forces in the field of molecular diagnostics and research.
Call for public-private partnership projects for the development of Human Measurement Models
The Association of Dutch Health Foundations (SGF) and the Top Sector Life Sciences & Health (LSH) have made € 3.2 million PPP Allowance (financial resources for public-private partnerships) available for the development of Human Measurement Models. This call is being made in collaboration with ZonMw and NWO Domain Applied and Engineering Sciences (AES).

27 Dutch startups in the race for the title of most pioneering innovation in science
De universiteiten in Nederland hebben 27 startups genomineerd voor de Academic Startup Competition 2019. Deze startups doen mee aan de titelstrijd voor de meest baanbrekende innovaties van de wetenschap in Nederland.8.5 million euros for healthy aging and vitality research
Een uitgebreid en multidisciplinair team van verouderingsexperts krijgt ruim 8,5 miljoen euro voor een grootschalig onderzoek naar factoren en oplossingen die bijdragen aan het gezond ouder worden en het vergroten van vitaliteit. Het team wil de functionele achteruitgang bij ouderen eerder herkennen, afremmen en herstellen zodat zij meer jaren in gezondheid doorbrengen. Aan het onderzoek, dat in september dit jaar van start gaat, doen negen onderzoeksinstituten en acht private partijen mee.
Health Deal I-JGZ: Innovations for an even healthier youth
Het gezin centraal stellen. Dat is de sleutel tot een nog gezondere jeugd. De jeugdgezondheidszorg (JGZ) zet kinderen in hun kracht, versterkt het probleemoplossend vermogen van het gezin en is als adviseur altijd dichtbij. Dat kan alleen met de juiste ondersteuning van ouder, kind en professional. Om dat mogelijk te maken, sluiten vandaag 24 partijen afkomstig van overheid, kennisinstellingen, jeugdgezondheidszorg, belangenorganisaties en bedrijfsleven, de Health Deal I-JGZ.
