Call for public-private partnership projects for the development of Human Measurement Models

The Association of Dutch Health Foundations (SGF) and the Top Sector Life Sciences & Health (LSH) have made € 3.2 million PPP Allowance (financial resources for public-private partnerships) available for the development of Human Measurement Models. This call is being made in collaboration with ZonMw and NWO Domain Applied and Engineering Sciences (AES).

The call for Human Measurement Models aims to encourage the development of new, more efficient, more predictable human measurement models for health research so that research results can be applied better and faster to people. This makes science less dependent on the use of laboratory animal models, which is in line with the Animal-free Innovation Transition Programme (TPI).

Depending on the type of research (fundamental, industrial or experimental) and the contributions by private and public partners within the project, between € 500,000 and € 1 million PPP Allowance can be applied for. An important condition is that an application must consist of a collaboration with at least one research organisation and at least one private party. Project applications can be submitted from the start of July 2019 onwards. The deadline for the mandatory pre-proposal is 5 September 2019. More information about the call can be found at the SGF website or at the Health-Holland Funding Page
