Call for matchmaking international type 2 diabetes research

Is your company involved in international type 2 diabetes research? Register now for the matchmaking!

A matchmaking meeting will take place on 11 December 2019 for a new international public-private consortium to stop type 2 diabetes: Netherlands-Canada Diabetes Type 2 Research consortium (short: DRC). Is your company interested in this? Then register now to jointly find a solution for type 2 diabetes!

Sponsors join forces

ZonMw, Diabetes Fonds, Health~Holland and Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) have joined forces to work towards a solution for people with type 2 diabetes. A great deal of knowledge has been gained about the underlying mechanisms of type 2 diabetes and various drugs and lifestyle interventions have been developed to slow down the progression of the disease and its symptoms. However, the different underlying mechanisms in combination with individual patient characteristics make the disease difficult to reverse. We therefore think it is time for a major breakthrough.

Matchmaking

To facilitate cooperation between researchers, companies and type 2 diabetes patients we are organising a matchmaking between these parties. The aim of the meeting is to set up public-private consortia that can propose a project application. Is your company interested in participating in an international type 2 diabetes consortium? Then we cordially invite you to the matchmaking on 11 December 2019 (9:30 am to 1:00 pm) at Hotel Schiphol

Registration

Access to the matchmaking is free, but registration is required. You can do this by sending an e-mail to partnershipdiabetes@zonmw.nl with your contact details, how many people you want to come with and a short description (in English) of your organisation. Register quickly, because only a limited number of places are available.
