Eindhoven MedTech Innovation Center (e/MTIC; regional)

A fast track to clinical innovation

Speed up high-tech health innovations of sleep-, perinatal- and cardiovascular solutions, maximising value for patients.

Bringing technical innovations all the way from early research to implementation and commercialisation often takes a long time. In healthcare innovation, in particular, this lost time can equates to lost lives. The goal of the Eindhoven MedTech Innovation Center (e/MTIC) is to make a strong contribution to healthcare by creating and expanding an ecosystem that strongly increases the speed of introduction of our high-tech health innovations, maximising value for patients.

e/MTIC considers such an end-to-end approach an unmet need and a unique opportunity for the Brainport region but also for national activities related to other PPPs. It will make significant contributions to visionary new developments in healthcare. In October e/MTIC organises a symposium with the Dutch Cardiovascular Alliance (DCVA) the first official external partner we can proudly announce to be collaborating with.

e/MTIC is a large-scale research collaboration between the Catharina Hospital, the Maxima Medical Center, Kempenhaeghe Epilepsy and Sleep Center, Eindhoven University of Technology and Royal Philips in the domains cardiovascular medicine, perinatal medicine and sleep medicine. The partnership has evolved over several decades, has a strong scientific and valorisation track record and currently encompasses around 100 PhD students, supervised by a similar number of experts from the various partners.

Mission of PPP

e/MTIC drives value-based healthcare by growing an ecosystem that creates a fast track in research, development and implementation of sustainable innovations in clinical practice.
