Draft version of the new Knowledge and Innovation Agenda 2020-2023 Health & Care available
On 26 April, the Dutch Cabinet established the mission-driven top sectors and innovation policy and its underlying 25 missions to strengthen the Dutch economy. Five of these missions address the societal challenge health and care. Top Sector Life Sciences & Health (LSH) drew up the Knowledge and Innovation Agenda (KIA) 2020-2023 with all stakeholders in the sector to shape these missions into actions. The draft of this new KIA is now available.
Pre-announcement: Netherlands-Canada Type 2 Diabetes Research Consortium
In oktober 2019 stelt ZonMw de internationale subsidieoproep Netherlands-Canada Diabetes Research Consortium (DRC) open. Deze oproep is een internationale samenwerking tussen ZonMw, Diabetes Fonds, Health~Holland en het Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).

MIT-scheme open for R&D collaboration projects
Ook in 2019 stellen het kabinet en de regio's gezamenlijk geld beschikbaar voor de zogenaamde MIT-regeling. De Mkb-innovatiestimulering Regio en Topsectoren (MIT) stimuleert innovatie bij het midden- en kleinbedrijf over regiogrenzen heen. Van 11 juni tot en met 10 september kun je indienen voor R&D-samenwerkingsprojecten.
Fifth call of the pprogramme Enabling Technologies Hotel open for application
ZonMw and NWO have made funds available for the 5th call for projects within the ZonMw programme Enabling Technologies Hotels. This programme contributes to the aims of the Topsectors Life Sciences and Health (LSH), Agri & Food and Horticulture & Starting Materials.
Massachusetts and the Netherlands kickoff international partnership in life sciences
Cambridge (MA), 23 July 2019 - During an official economic mission from the Netherlands to Boston led by Prime Minister Rutte, representatives from public investment agencies, the biotech industry and other organizations convened to discuss a broad-based partnership to advance ongoing collaboration in life sciences between the Netherlands and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
New international consortium to tackle tuberculosis
Johnson & Johnson start met een nieuw internationaal consortium in de strijd om tuberculose wereldwijd uit te roeien. Het initiatief, RESPIRI-TB, is een samenwerking tussen negen academische en biotechnologische partners uit vijf verschillende landen.
Stoptober
De voorbereidingen voor de zesde editie van ‘Stoptober, 28 dagen niet roken!’ zijn inmiddels begonnen! De landelijke campagne trapt af op 6 september. Net als voorgaande jaren faciliteert het Trimbos-instituut ook in 2019 de inzet van Stoptober via zorgprofessionals. Zodat zorgprofessionals de campagne tijdig en adequaat bij hun patiënten onder de aandacht kunnen brengen.
