Extended Call for One Health applications for prophylactic vaccines and preventive strategies
The Top Sector Life Sciences & Health (LSH; Health~Holland) sees a possibility to allocate extra ‘Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Allowance’ budget to the Netherlands Centre for One Health (NCOH) for a small project within the NCOH-LSH One Health call 2019.This call involves strategic partnerships under the Knowledge and Innovation Agenda of Top Sector LSH.
IMI2 - Call 20 now open
The Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) has now launched its 20th Call for proposals under IMI2. The Call gives researchers from diverse sectors the opportunity to participate in ambitious public-private partnerships that will pave the way for the development of the medicines of the future.
Multidisciplinary IMDI call about technology for manageable care is now open
Afgelopen oktober 2019 werd aangekondigd dat IMDI twee nieuwe subsidieoproepen zou openstellen. De tweede oproep hiervan – demonstratieprojecten – staat inmiddels open. Deze oproep richt zich op het doorontwikkelen van een technologie die al gevalideerd is in het lab tot een Minimal Viable Product (MVP) welke vervolgens zal worden gevalideerd in de leef- en/of zorgomgeving.

In Nederland worden sinds 1992 elk jaar de Galenus Geneesmiddelenprijs en de Galenus Researchprijs uitgereikt. Vanaf 2018, bij het 25-jarig bestaan van de Galenusprijzen is de naam, naar internationaal voorbeeld, definitief omgedoopt in respectievelijk Prix Galien, Prix Galien Pharmaceutical Award en Prix Galien Research Award.

26 Dutch start-ups and scale-ups shine in the booklet ‘26x better and faster without use of animals’published by Transition Programme for Innovation without the use of animals (TPI). The booklet aims to give Dutch companies that are working on animal-free innovations an international stage and was presented during the TPI Pioneer-2-Policymaker Conference.

More than 100 business leaders, entrepreneurs, scientists and government representatives were on hand to connect and share ideas from their field of expertise.
9.17 million euros released for Esther Aarts' lifestyle research into the elderly
Neurowetenschapper Esther Aarts ontvangt een Crossover-subsidie van NWO voor haar MOCIA-project. Met deze subsidie moet vooruitgang geboekt worden voor leefstijlonderzoek onder ouderen. MOCIA richt zich op een gezonder brein tijdens het ouder worden, en is een samenwerking tussen publieke en private partners.
Janssen presents report on ‘Innovation for society’
Op 12 december presenteerde Janssen Nederland zijn rapport ‘Innovatie voor de samenleving’ aan het ministerie van Economische Zaken en Klimaat. In dit document laat Janssen zien wat het betekent om geneesmiddelen te ontwikkelen en bij patiënten te brengen.
