Utrecht Health Seed Fund Launced
On March 24, 2020 a new investment fund was launched – the Utrecht Health Seed Fund (UHSF). The goal is to invest a total of €5.4 million in promising start-ups located in the province of Utrecht that are developing scalable technologies in the field of Life Sciences & Health: Life Sciences (biotech, pharmaceuticals & diagnostics), Digital Health, Medical Devices & Animal Health.
VIG Presents: New Roadmap for Gene Therapies

LUMC and UU Start European Research into Corona Inhibitors
Onderzoekers van het Leids Universitair Medisch Centrum (LUMC) gaan samen met 7 Europese partners onderzoeken hoe ze antivirale therapie kunnen ontwikkelen om coronavirussen te bestrijden. Dit doen ze binnen het SCORE-project (Swift Coronavirus Therapeutics Response) dat is geselecteerd door het Horizon 2020-programma van de Europese Unie (2,6 miljoen euro).
FDA Issues Emergency Use Authorisation for Corona Test
In de Verenigde Staten heeft de FDA spoedtoestemming (Emergency Use Authorisation) gegeven aan Roche voor een test waarmee meer patiënten sneller kunnen worden getest op de aanwezigheid van het coronavirus.
