Minister Bruins announced new regulation that everyone can have access to a personal health environment

- Minister Bruno Bruins (Medische Zorg) heeft een regeling aangekondigd, waarmee het voor iedere Nederlander mogelijk is om de komende jaren kosteloos gebruik te maken van een digitale persoonlijke gezondheidsomgeving. Hiermee kun je als patiënt zelf bepalen of en met welke zorgverleners je jouw medische gegevens deelt.

Apply for MIT feasibility projects and knowledge vouchers from 9 April

- The Cabinet and local regions make funds available for the so-called MIT-scheme. The SME innovation stimulation Region and Top Sectors (MIT) stimulates innovation in small and medium-sized businesses across regional borders. From 9 April until 10 September 2019 you can apply for MIT feasibility projects and knowledge vouchers.

NWO launches second call NWA research programme 'Research along Routes by Consortia'

- On Monday 4 March 2019, NWO has launched the second funding round of the NWA research programme 'Research along Routes by Consortia' (ORC). The funding programme aimed at all research disciplines stimulates interdisciplinary research and innovation, bringing societal and scientific breakthroughs within reach. For the 2019 funding round a budget of 80.5 million euros is available.

Adult Stem Cell-Derived Kidney-on-a-Chip in Nature Biotechnology

- Scientists from the Hubrecht Institute, the University of Utrecht, and MIMETAS have successfully grown kidney tubules derived from human kidney adult stem cells in microfluidic chips. This research has been published in Nature Biotechnology by the world-leading research group from Professor Hans Clevers.
