X-Heal Diagnostics winner of the 17th Venture Challenge edition

Today at the Dutch Biotech Event, Chrétien Herben, director LifeSciences@Work Accelerator, announced X-Heal Diagnostics as winning team of the 17th edition of the Venture Challenge. X-Heal Diagnostics has developed the X-halyzer technology, a patented diagnostic technology that allows specific detection of bacteria from exhaled air within one hour, directly enabling targeted treatment for patients with chronic lung diseases.

Nederlandse ondernemers, waarvan 97 procent afkomstig uit het MKB, hebben vorig jaar 1,2 miljard euro voordeel gehaald uit de innovatieregeling WBSO (Wet Bevordering Speur- en Ontwikkelingswerk). Dit is een stijging van 22 procent ten opzichte van een jaar eerder. Dat blijkt uit de jaarrapportage die minister Kamp van Economische Zaken vandaag heeft gepubliceerd. Met de WBSO kunnen ondernemers meer onderzoek doen om vervolgens deze innovaties te ontwikkelen tot succesvolle producten en diensten.

As a result, we present here the Call for Proposals focusing on 'Novel Antibacterial Compounds and Therapies Antagonizing Resistance' (NACTAR). The main goal of the programme is to facilitate research and development of new antimicrobial molecules and alternatives to antibiotics, which should become available for the healthcare system for a fair and affordable price.

It finds that market leaders in oncology are addressing cancer care for the poor, with 129 separate initiatives up and running. Efforts are spread across cancer types and countries.
