SPERATUM selected as best start-up at Innovation for Health 2018

SPERATUM has won the AXON Innovation for Health Award 2018 for the best start-up pitch at the fifth edition of Innovation for Health and the second edition of Global Investor Forum in WTC Rotterdam on 1 February. Out of nearly 20 admissions eleven young companies were selected for a pitch presentation. These companies have all developed a new solution for a healthcare problem, ranging from biopharma to e-health, from medical technology to augmented reality. The jury panel, composed of investors from INKEF, Life Sciences Partners and NextGen Ventures, selected Axiles Bionics and SPERATUM as the two finalists to pitch in the plenary closing program of the conference. In the end SPERATUM received the majority vote from the audience as the best start-up and received the prize from Carine van den Brink of AXON Lawyers.

Christian Marin Muller, CEO of SPERATUM, commented: “It is an honour for us to receive this distinction with so many other fantastic competitors doing incredible things to help improve and save lives. It is an exciting way to kick off our expansion into the Netherlands, as we seek opportunities and investment to get our potentially life-saving technology to the clinic, what we know will be a new hope for pancreatic cancer patients.”
