Benefit from progressive government policies like the National Medical Devices Policy, focusing on innovation and patient-centric care. Navigate the “Made in India” push by considering local partnerships for market entry. Seize the potential of India’s digital healthcare revolution through initiatives like the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. Collaborate with Indian partners to leverage low-cost innovation and vast patient volumes for accelerated pre-clinical trials. These developments create opportunities for Dutch organizations seeking to enter the Indian market, strengthen their foothold and explore new ways of collaboration.
What to expect?
The annual visit to India is designed to foster collaboration and understanding between The Netherlands and India in the healthcare sector. The program consists of collective site visits and network events, as well as individual matchmaking and appointments, covering 2 days in Bangalore and 2 days in Hyderabad. Each city will have approximately 1 day allocated for collective visits / meetings and 1 day for individual visits / B2B meetings. Some individual B2B meetings may involve smaller groups visiting hospitals or companies together, with an expected 3 to 4 meetings per city per company. Network events will be hosted by the Consulate General in Bangalore and NBSO in Hyderabad. The content of the program will be tailored as much as possible to the requirements of the actual delegates.
Organizing parties
This mission is initiated by Task Force Health Care as part of a long term public-private collaboration towards India. Annual healthcare visits to India have been organized over the past decade.
The Dutch Economic Network supports the visit and will co-organize the collective visits. The Embassy in Delhi, the Counselor for Health, Welfare & Sport, the Consulate General in Bangalore and the Netherlands Business Support Office (NBSO) in Hyderabad are all keen to share their insights into healthcare policy developments, collaboration opportunities, and market developments that create opportunities for Dutch organizations.
Individual matchmaking and overall support to the program will be provided by Sathguru Management Consultants (SMC). SMC is a market leading advisory firm across segments of life sciences in India with strong domain depth across pharma, medical devices, biotech, healthcare, animal health, food and agribusiness. SMC enjoys the advantage of high level of incumbent knowledge of the Indian landscape and high quality network with companies in India, large and small. Based on an individual intake, specific individual meetings will be planned with large and smaller hospitals, diagnostic reference labs, large Indian companies, younger ventures and distributors to maximize their collaboration opportunities for technology validations and/or other strategic partnerships.
