Why would you want to apply Citizen Science? And how do we involve citizens in our projects? What can we learn from each other? In addition, existing Citizen Science projects will be highlighted.

What is Citizen Science?

Citizen science (CS) is about involving citizens (whether or not in their role of patient) and scientific researchers (more and better). This can be done from both sides, in different degrees: involvement and participation of citizens in the agenda-setting, implementation and evaluation of scientific research (citizen/patient participation) and involvement and participation of researchers in the agenda-setting, implementation and evaluation of citizen initiatives in the field of knowledge and innovation (science participation).
