It has been nearly four months since the beginning of the pandemic of COVID-19. Rapid proliferation of the virus has had affected a various aspects of our life.
Japan, like many other countries, opened its economy; however, people have to “stay alert” all the time. What you can see now is the many pharma companies are accelerating development of vaccines and drugs aimed at early stage approval for commercial use.
The organiser of BioJapan2020 made a bold decision to hold the event as originally planned in Pacifico Yokohama. They vowed to strictly comply with the government guidelines that require utmost precautionary measures during the fair. At the same time, they suggest those who cannot physically be present at the fair may participate in online format partnering.
Under these circumstances, the Netherlands Embassy in Japan will organise the Holland Booth once again at Biojapan 2020, and will enable Dutch companies to participate either physically or through an online format.
BioJapan is the most important business event in Japan in the field of life science and biotechnology. Your participation provides you with the opportunity to meet more than 1,300 Japanese and global life science and biotech companies. The following industry categories and organizations are represented at BioJapan.
- Medicine/Pharmaceuticals
- Drug discovery support and contract services
- Regenerative medicine
- Medical devices and equipment
- Research devices, reagents and facilities
- Agriculture and functional food
- Regional bio clusters, universities and governmental agencies
Participation in BioJapan 2020 includes
• Three-day entrance to the exhibition and your own company desk inside the “Holland booth”
• Opportunity to give a company presentation at the fair (“On-site Exhibitors’ Presentation”). Embassy will look into the possibility for online company presentation
Participation Fee: €500 per participant (excluding transportation and accommodation costs), for those who will be in the booth. €300 per participant for an online presence.

*Considering travel restrictions may still be in place in October, participating companies are adviced that they send a local agent represented at the fair, otherwise run the risk of not being able to come.
