Drive 2019 - Design, Research & Innovation Festival

In October 2019 CLICKNL (Top Sector Creative Industry) organizes the sixth edition of the Design Research & Innovation Festival, DRIVE! On Thursday, 24 October, they put state-of-the-art research in the spotlight during the Dutch Design Week, and your project or research can be part of it.

At the Design Research & Innovation Festival, or, DRIVE, creative professionals, innovation managers and researchers share their latest R&D insights. Through presentations, workshops and discussions, the public gets insight into the growing knowledge base of the creative industry: from design methods to facilitate transitions to the possibilities of personalization, and from digital media to architecture and fashion.

Themes

In 2019, DRIVE focuses on the role of the creative industry in the Mission-driven Innovation Policy and the societal challenges that are designated in them. Therefore we are mostly looking for inspiring and challenging innovation and research projects in the creative industry around the following topics:

  • Agriculture, water & food;
  • Health & Health Care;
  • Energy Transition & Sustainability
  • Security

Format

The DRIVE 2019 programme gives festivalgoers the option to compile their own programme. Within each domain CLICKNL strives for a mix of multiple presentations about research and innovation. They are looking for speakers from varying backgrounds: companies, design professionals and researchers of both universities and universities of applied sciences. The creative and critical DRIVE audience wants to be involved in interactive, short presentations. The spoken language is English.
