RSNA 2016

Be our guest and experience what the Dutch have to offer!

The Netherlands Presents Pavilion at RSNA 2016, Chicago Nov 27-Dec 1 North – Hall B: 8518

Future of Healthcare

Healthcare costs and demand for chronic care are increasing rapidly in many countries, primarily owing to a graying population. The medical technology industry addresses these challenges by contributing to healthcare efficiency, cost reduction, early diagnostics and improved quality of life for the patient. Convergences of high tech, IT and pharma/biotech result in a more complex and diverse medtech industry enabling the development and implementation of new solutions for medical needs.

Ranking the Netherlands

The healthcare system in the Netherlands consistently ranks first in Europe (Europe Health Consumer Index 2015). The Netherlands is the most competitive economy in the European Union. The main drivers are the high quality of infrastructure, health and education (World Economic Forum). The Netherlands is one of the most concentrated life sciences regions in the world. Approximately 2500 companies, including some 500 innovative R&D life sciences companies, are clustered within a 120 mile radius, roughly the size of greater Los Angeles.
