Avantor Opens Second European Facility in the Netherlands

Avantor opens second European facility in the Netherlands to support biopharma demand.
The manufacturer of single use products for the pharmaceutical industry increases cleanroom capacity to serve regional and global customers.

Pennsylvania-based biopharma materials company Avantor has opened a new single-use facility in Hillegom, the Netherlands. Avantor already has one site in Tilburg and this expansion is a significant addition to the company’s overall cleanroom capacity in the region. With a growing demand for bioproduction, Avantor has found success servicing regional and global customers from the Netherlands.

Avantor’s new facility in Hillegom is located between Amsterdam and Leiden with proximity to the Leiden Bio Science Park. The strategic location enables Avantor to manufacture, package and deliver single-use solutions that support all stages of biologics manufacturing. From Hillegom, the company is able to take advantage of the Netherlands’ rapid continental and global access via world-class airports and high-speed rail, road and waterways.
