Op 10 en 11 maart organiseren Longfonds en het LUMC het 'Symposium Preventie Astma en Allergieën' in Naturalis, Leiden. Vooraanstaande (internationale) wetenschappers lichten de nieuwste wetenschappelijke inzichten om astma en allergieën bij kinderen te voorkomen uit.

Tijdens dit interessante symposium staan ons microbioom, onze leefomgeving én leefstijl in de schijnwerpers. Accreditatie goedgekeurd door de NVALT, de NVK en de VSR. Accreditatie door V&VN is in behandeling.

Zeven jaar lang richtte het internationale LONGFONDS | Accelerate onderzoeksconsortium ‘A World Without Asthma’ zich, onder leiding van prof.dr. Hermelijn Smits, op mogelijke interventies. Dat leidde tot bijzondere inzichten en resultaten die we delen met het Nederlandse onderzoeksveld, zorgprofessionals en diverse stakeholders en beleidsmakers.
