Facility event

On Wednesday 18 April 2018, Utrecht Life Sciences and Utrecht Science Park are organizing a matchmaking event for researchers from both academia and companies and the experts of the facilities/services related to life sciences. The aim of this event is to:

  • Provide our researchers and external partners full insight in the wealth of excellent infrastructure and services present at Utrecht Science Park;
  • Offer solutions and new perspectives to technical challenges that researchers face;
  • Demonstrate the latest technological innovations on an information market;
  • Share the new edition of the research facilities and services booklet.

Program
15.00 – 15.30          Opening by Prof. Peter Luijten, launch booklet and appetizer pitches
15.30 – 17.00          Matchmaking and information market
17.00 – 17.30          Closure and Drinks

The target audiences are researchers from companies in our network, UU/UMC Utrecht facility managers, PI’s, postdocs, PhD candidates, technicians and companies located at Utrecht Science Park and other relevant and interested companies in our network.

Appetizer pitches
We will invite 3-4 researchers to pitch their story of a collaboration in which a technical research challenge got solved successfully, and sometimes in an unexpected way, by teaming-up with facilities of others.
 
Matchmaking
If you register to the event you will be asked to submit a technical research question in advance (optional). At the event a specific area will be equipped were the matching conversations between participants and facilities/services will take place.
 
Information Market
Facility/services managers will be available at the information market in their market booth.
