Eindhoven MedTech Innovation Center (e/MTIC)

e/MTICis a strategic public-private partnership (PPP) that accelerates thedevelopment and implementation of MedTech innovations in healthcare. Based inthe Brainport region, we bring together academic, clinical and industrialexpertise to tackle clinical challenges with innovations that fit seamlesslyinto everyday care.

The partnership is built on a long-term collaboration between Eindhoven University of Technology, Philips, Catharina Hospital, Máxima MC and Kempenhaeghe. This core collaboration is strengthened by project-specific coalitions with additional partners. The ecosystem currently involves more than 60 PhD researchers, supported by a broad network of clinical, academic and industrial experts. Together, they create a collaboration network that enables innovations to move efficiently from clinical need to clinical impact. e/MTIC currently focuses on cardiovascular medicine, perinatal medicine and sleep medicine, while exploring expansion into the domains of oncology and neurology.

Ate/MTIC, innovation starts from a clinical need. Researchers, healthcareprofessionals and industry partners join forces on strategic roadmaps, movingideas from early exploration and testing towards implementation in clinicalpractice. The result: technology that is not just scientifically sound, but practicaluseful, easy to adopt and ready to scale.

Tosupport this process, e/MTIC invests in conditions that enables successfulinnovation, including health data infrastructure, regulatory alignment,valorisation, implementation support and cross-organisational collaboration. Byconnecting these elements within a single innovation ecosystem, we create afast track from research and development to sustainable healthcare innovation.
