Prehabilitation clinic - follow up project
‘Optimise’ the prehabilitation clinic and subsequently to implement the prehabilitation clinic into all surgical departments of the UMCG and next into other hospitals
UMCG Prehabilitation Center, where among others anesthesiologists, geriatrists, physiotherapists, dieticians, medical psychologists, lifestyle specialists work together to make a prehabilitation plan for the patient scheduled for surgery or other treatment. Regional implementation could be arranged within our Managed Clinical Network HPB surgery in the North-Eastern part of the Netherlands. Nationwide implementation will require a trial with stepped wedge design implementing this prehabilitation program within the hospitals affiliated to the Dutch Pancreatic Cancer Group and Dutch Hepatobiliary Audit.
