Dutch approach to Women’s Health Innovations
The Netherlands is rapidly positioning itself as a global hub for women’s health innovation. Recent national developments, including the launch of a dedicated women’s health strategy by the Ministry of Health, underline a long-term political and societal commitment to addressing gender disparities in healthcare.

Health Holland and its partners are increasingly creating momentum around women’s health, with a strong focus on international collaboration and knowledge exchange. In 2025, Health Holland co-organized an incoming Women’s Health mission from Boston, bringing international delegates into contact with Dutch women’s health innovators through company visits and meetings with leading research organisations. Selected delegates were also given the opportunity to pitch at the Innovation for Health conference in the Netherlands, providing international visibility and direct connections with Dutch innovators, investors and ecosystem partners active in the field.
Furthermore, we are bringing women’s health to the international stage at conferences, including Swiss Biotech Day and Nordic Life Science Days. By creating opportunities for dialogue, matchmaking and knowledge exchange, we aim to strengthen international connections and accelerate innovation in women’s health.
