Launch event REIMAGINE IMAGING: sustainable patient care through autonomous diagnostics
Waiting lists are growing and healthcare staff are under pressure, while most diagnostic imaging still takes place in the hospital. REIMAGINE IMAGING, a national public-private program, is working to change that with autonomous MRI and ultrasound technology that brings diagnostics closer to the patient.
On Tuesday 10 November, the program marks its official launch at Brainport Industries Campus in Eindhoven. The afternoon program is open to everyone working on autonomous diagnostics: clinicians, researchers, industry, policymakers and SMEs.
Program
The afternoon features keynotes, project pitches from all four REIMAGINE IMAGING consortia, two panel discussions and an exhibition floor.
- ClearBreast: a dedicated MRI in mobile units, improving early detection for women with dense breast tissue.
- ProsPace: a compact MRI as a first-line triage tool for prostate cancer, preventing unnecessary biopsies.
- BrainMatters: autonomous brain imaging for earlier detection of cognitive decline in elderly care.
- AbdominalScan: AI-guided handheld ultrasound, allowing general practitioners to rule out conditions without a hospital referral.
Nico van Meeteren, Executive Director and Secretary General of Health~Holland, and Jochen Cals, Professor of Effective Diagnostics in Family Medicine at Maastricht University, are among the speakers. Michèle van der Kemp moderates the day.
