TerugblIQ – InnovationQuarter 2017 Annual Report
In 2017, InnovationQuarter attracted a record number of foreign companies to West Holland, made 23 new investments and established over 50 innovative partnerships between companies. These annual results mean that the agency has had yet another record 12-month period in its fourth year of existence. This is evident from TerugblIQ, the 2017 Annual Report, which is published today. InnovationQuarter’s activities in 2017 led to € 146 million of additional private investment and the creation of more than 1,500 high-quality jobs in the region.

Op 22 maart 2018 hebben minister Ingrid van Engelshoven (OCW) en staatssecretaris Paul Blokhuis (VWS) een drietal kennisagenda’s in ontvangst genomen uit handen van NFU-voorzitter Ernst Kuipers. Deze kennisagenda’s zijn een uitwerking van een deel van de publieksvragen aan de Nationale Wetenschapsagenda (NWA) op het gebied van gezondheid. Ze beschrijven hoe het kennisveld met innovatief wetenschappelijk onderzoek oplossingen en wetenschappelijke doorbraken kan vinden voor de grote maatschappelijke uitdagingen van deze tijd: hoe houden we de samenleving gezond en innoveren we met wetenschappelijk onderzoek de gezondheidszorg?
Ten Create Health projects
Voor de subsidieoproep ‘Kennisbasis e-health voor gezond en actief ouder worden’ die in het najaar van 2016 is uitgezet, hebben tien aanvragen definitieve honoreringen ontvangen. Deze subsidieoproep valt binnen het programma Create Health van ZonMw, dat als doel heeft om bij te dragen aan de maatschappelijke uitdaging rondom gezond en actief ouder worden.
BIO-Europe Spring Amsterdam 2018 turns orange
Last week, BIO-Europe Spring took place in Amsterdam. Over 2,500 life sciences professionals gathered in our country’s capital city to engage in three full days of partnering meetings, educational sessions and networking. The conference, organized by the EBD Group, is one of Europe’s largest and most successful partnering conferences for the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. Thanks to this edition’s national partner Health~Holland, the conference not only turned orange, but also convincingly presented the Netherlands as Europe’s most attractive and innovative biopharmaceutical environment.

By means of PPP Allowance, the Top Sector provides a financial instrument to help consortia consisting of research organisations, knowledge institutes, companies, and health foundations to realise their innovative ideas.
New Health Deal on stimulating health through personal prevention via e-health
In 2020, ten percent of the Netherlands will use e-health for personal prevention.That is one of the concrete goals of the recently signed Health Deal 'Stimulating health through personal prevention via e-health.'The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, the Ministry Health, Welfare and Sport and twelve other parties signed the Health Deal during the Health Valley Event on 15 March.The participants promise to undertake efforts to make e-health tools for personal prevention accessible to all Dutch people.

Tijdens de slotshow op het Health Valley Event 2018 op 15 maart 2018 in het CineMec Nijmegen, is de CRDL door de vakjury uitgeroepen tot winnaar van de Nationale Zorginnovatieprijs 2018. Het publiek koos Abena Nova als winnaar van de publieksprijs. De Nationale Zorginnovatieprijs is een jaarlijks terugkerend initiatief van Stichting Zorginnovatie Nederland, om scale-ups in de zorg- en welzijnssector te steunen. De CRDL ontvangt een bedrag van €10.000 en Abena Nova een bedrag van €5.000,- dat zij kunnen investeren in verdere opschaling van hun innovatie.
