Strengthening of cooperation Janssen, Radboud University and Radboudumc
Radboudumc en Radboud Universiteit tekenden 12 maart een intentieverklaring voor intensievere samenwerking met geneesmiddelenbedrijf Janssen. Dit melden de betrokkenen op hun website.
New innovation programme TopFit launched
Het Radboudumc, Radboud Universiteit, Wageningen Universiteit en de Univeristeit Twente zijn de initiatiefnemers van TopFit, een nieuw open innovatieprogramma in Oost-Nederland. De Vier Oost-Nederlandse topinstellingen gaan met tech-, food- en health-onderzoek én samenwerking met het werkveld werken aan innovatieve toepassingen voor gepersonaliseerde preventieve gezondheidszorg.RoboSculpt wins Health Valley Bridge Prize 2019

De periode voor het indienen van projectideeën voor veelbelovende zorg is gestart. Projectideeën kunnen van donderdag 14 maart tot dinsdag 14 mei 2019 vóór 14:00 uur ingediend worden. Het doel van de subsidieregeling veelbelovende zorg is het versnellen van de toegang van de patiënt tot potentieel veelbelovende zorg via opname in het basispakket.

NWO launches second call NWA research programme 'Research along Routes by Consortia'
On Monday 4 March 2019, NWO has launched the second funding round of the NWA research programme 'Research along Routes by Consortia' (ORC). The funding programme aimed at all research disciplines stimulates interdisciplinary research and innovation, bringing societal and scientific breakthroughs within reach. For the 2019 funding round a budget of 80.5 million euros is available.

Adult Stem Cell-Derived Kidney-on-a-Chip in Nature Biotechnology
Scientists from the Hubrecht Institute, the University of Utrecht, and MIMETAS have successfully grown kidney tubules derived from human kidney adult stem cells in microfluidic chips. This research has been published in Nature Biotechnology by the world-leading research group from Professor Hans Clevers.
