ARCH21 Call for Papers
Enabling health, care and well-being through design research is the title of ARCH21 – the 5th Architecture Research Care and Health conference – organised at the Education Centre of Erasmus MC in Rotterdam – the Netherlands – 23rd until 25th of August 2021.
ARCH21 connects researchers and practitioners around the conference theme, and also wants to attract those interested in the new Erasmus MC hospital environment and evaluation studies carried out regarding this project.
Based on the conference theme we identified three guiding topics:
- Health promotion in society – how reshaping unhealthy environments can support the needed change in human behaviour;
- The core-hospital as central node in digital health and care – what major changes do we expect to see in Evidence-Based Design, e.g. in the context of the current COVID-19 crisis; and
- Inclusive healthcare and home environments – in a world of vulnerable people and people with care demands, how can care and housing be integrated.
In conjunction with the conference theme there will be a workshop on research within the scope of the conference. On August 25th a choice of study tours will highlight some recent, innovative projects in the Netherlands
Therefore, react to the call for original research papers and send in your abstract before the 15th of October 2020.
